AIRI develops authoritative, internationally aligned standards for assessing human competency in the governance and control of artificial intelligence and robotic systems. Our standardization work currently spans two domains.

AIRI's AI Education Standard defines the competencies, knowledge, and values that students and educators must develop to engage responsibly with artificial intelligence. Grounded in UNESCO's 2024 AI Competency Frameworks, this standard provides a structured, internationally recognised basis for AI literacy assessment.

AIRI's Robotics Standard will establish benchmarks for assessing competency in the governance, operation, safety, and control of autonomous robotic systems. This standard is currently under development and will be published in due course.
All AIRI standards are developed through a systematic process of international literature review, expert consultation, and alignment with recognised global frameworks such as those published by UNESCO. Our standards are designed to be technology-neutral, culturally inclusive, and applicable across diverse educational and institutional contexts.
